Last week, In science, first grade learned about different types of soil, clay, sand and topsoil. They created and ate representations of the different types.

Congrats to our Teacher of the Month, Mr. Hinkle!! Mr. Hinkle is incredibly kind and supportive to all he comes across. He goes out of his way to make positive connections with all staff and students. 🤠💙🤠💙

Congrats to our Staff Member of the month, Mrs. Brown!! Though new to Coupland this year, Mrs. Brown fits in like she has been here for ages. She works hard to help all of the students she works will. Mrs. Brown is also a great team player and is always willing to help out! 💙🤠💙🤠

We all had so much fun at the YMCA field trip! The students received SO many compliments for great behavior and scientific knowledge!! Way to go 4th and 5th graders!

From Mrs. O'Neill: We loved learning all about weather and rainbows this week, and we made our own rainbows for our Science lesson, using skittles candy!🌈🌧️🌦️⛈️🏳️‍🌈

Mrs. Carr’s class learned about the rain cycle and made it rain in a jar!! 🌧️

PreK is having fun learning about weather in our weather station! ☀️🌧️

Mrs. Abbott's Class learned about traditions such as setting a table, turkeys, and football! She had so many engaging activities and the kids had a blast!

Ms. Violette's Art class researched Native American Tribes and presented information they learned, including patterns in their art designs. They then used this research to create dream, catchers, utilizing bilateral symmetry!

So proud of these super smart pre-k kiddos! They are the first 6 pre-k students in Mrs. O'Neill's class that have joined the “100 Club” for counting all the way to 100 without any help!!
