Cowboys of the Month were honored at last night's board meeting! 🤠💙🤠

Cowgirls and Cowboys Basketball brought home wins for their first games of the season!! 💙🤍💙🤍

The board meeting began with the pledge, lead by Christian Ibarra. The board said “See you soon” to Rev. Dr. Hogi and Misty Garwood, our outgoing school board trustees. We thank them for their dedication to Coupland ISD. We also welcomed new board members! Lylah Gonzales swore in new board members and renewed a few others! Thank you to Susan Schmidt, Tessa Strider, Andrew Gonzales, David Young and Royce Hatch. (We know it was special for Mr. Gonzales to have his daughter participate!) 💙🤍💙🤍

Congratulations to our 5th Grade English & Social Studies Teacher - Brandi Smith for Teacher of the Month! -Mrs. Smith helps out with so many things. Social Committee, Safety Committee, CIP, and anything else we ask her to do! If anyone needs anything, Brandi is the first to ask how she can help, send out a meal train, etc. -She is extremely giving and loves her students. -Mrs. Smith cares about Coupland ISD. She joins every committee she can and is the first to ask how she can help. She cares deeply for our kids and staff. She always has a listening ear or shoulder to lean on!

Congratulations to our Middle School English Teacher - Amanda Harvey for Teacher of the Month! -Mrs. Harvey comes up with engaging lessons for her students! -Mrs. Harvey has been an awesome addition to our middle school team! She has great rapport with the students and knows the stuff that she teaches. She is always super organized and ALWAYS working hard. She is a great example to our students, and the students love her! -She has come to Coupland and brought a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to help where help is needed. Thank you for all you do!

Congratulations to our Librarian - Julie Lake - Staff member of the month!! -Mrs. Lake's work with WIN time enrichment is having a campus-wide impact. -Amazing work on the Book Fair! Ms. Lake truly goes above and beyond with GT activities, the garden and Chess! -She always gives her all to what she does and is always kind and respectful even when under lots of stress.

Mrs. Schroeder's class read a poem and watched a slideshow presentation about Veterans Day. They also created a collaborative flag! Each of the students colored different pieces of the flag and then they put it all together. 🇺🇸

PreK sure did have a “Fun Friday” yesterday! They got to make popcorn for our class snack because they voted for their favorite snack on Election Day (Tuesday) and they used all “5 senses” to see, smell, touch, taste, and listen to the popcorn. Then they made a “Cloud in a Jar” after learning about weather this week!
